Pocahontas State Park: Trail Building and Maintenance
To volunteer for this project, contact Lori Ando.
Have you ever hiked the trails at Pocahontas State Park and couldn’t resist the urge to move that branch or rock off the trail or in general make the trail a better place?  If so, and even if not, hiking trail maintenance may be for you.  We’re putting together regular hiking trail maintenance outings at Pocahontas State Park for Virginia Master Naturalists.

Volunteers should attend a training session to learn about proper tools and techniques that are used in building new trails. Project coordinator, Lori Ando, conducts these sessions periodically throughout the year for those who are interested. Check your email or the Volunteer Management System calendar for upcoming training dates.
